AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF
THE PLAT OF FAIRVIEW ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND CLOSING PORTIONS
OF THE RIGHT -OF -WAY OF STREETS AND ALLEYS
IN AND CONTIGUOUS TO BLOCKS 17, 18, 19,
20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, AND 28
ALL IN THE PLAT OF FAIRVIEW ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company, the
owner of Blocks 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and
28 in Fairview Addition to the City of Little Rock, has made
application for the vacation of portions of said blocks for the
purpose of reducing platted land to acreage pursuant to Little
Rock, Ark. Rev. Code §31 -11 (1988); and
WHEREAS, the owner has not sold any of the lots within the
described area and it is the sole owner of the area to be reduced
to acreage; and
WHEREAS, none of the dedicated streets and alleys within the
described area have been constructed; and
WHEREAS, there is one platted public utility easement within
the area of the plat to be vacated and reduced to acreage that is
not vacated by this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, hereby approves the vacation of portions of the
plat of Fairview Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
described herein, together with the divesting of the public
rights in the streets and alleys included in the legal descrip-
tion of the portion to be vacated, described as follows:
All of Blocks 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27,
and 28, and all streets contiguous to said blocks and alleys
located in said blocks as shown on the plat of Fairview
Addition filed of record in Plat Book No. 1, Sheet No. 121
in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and being more particularly described as
the south 1,080 feet of the southwest quarter of the south-
east quarter of Section 22, Township 1 North, Range 12 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, containing 32.36 acres, more or
less.

The particular streets and alleys being vacated are:
All of the streets and alleys in Fairview Addition to the
City of Little Rock south of the north line of Granite
Avenue and more particularly identified as: Granite Avenue,
Oakwood Avenue, and Whittington Avenue in their respective
entireties, Arch Street from the north line of Granite
Avenue to the south line of Fairview Addition and contiguous
to Blocks 17, 24, and 25; Broadway Street from the north
line of Granite Avenue to the south line of Fairview
Addition and contiguous to Blocks 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, and
26; Spring Street from the north line of Granite Avenue to
the south line of Fairview Addition and contiguous to Blocks
18, 19, 22, 23, 26, and 27; Center Street from the north
line of Granite Avenue to the south line of Fairview
Addition and contiguous to Blocks 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, and
28; and Louisiana Street from the north line of Granite
Avenue to the south line of Fairview Addition contiguous to
Blocks 20, 21, and 28; and all of the alleys in Blocks 17
through 28.
SUBJECT TO a right -of -way agreement in favor of Arkansas
Louisiana Gas Company recorded in Deed Record Book 822 at
page 243 on January 28, 1963, and shown in Plat Book 12 at
page 9 in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
