16158GS� Fy 65 • � ORDINANCE NO. 16,158 1 2 3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE LITTLE ROCK 4 CODE OF ORDINANCES, PROVIDING FOR A PRIVILEGE 5 LICENSE FEE TO BE ASSESSED FOR OPERATION OF 6 HAZARDOUS OR MEDICAL [BASTE DISPOSAL FACILITIES; 7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 i 9 10 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, 11 Arkansas, enacted an ordinance amending Chapter 36 of the Little 12 Rock Code of Ordinances, providing for hazardous and medical 13 waste disposal as a conditional use in industrial zones 14 designated as I -2 and I -3; and 15 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors also enacted an ordinance 16 amending Chapter 36 of the Little Rock Code of Ordinances to 17 require a conditional use permit for hazardous and medical. waste 18 disposal facilities located in the City, together with an 19 application and review procedure. 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 21 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 22 SECTION 1. Section 17 -52 of the Little Rock, Ark., Rev. 23 Code (1988) is hereby amended to add the following privilege 24 license fee: 25 (231) Commercial Hazardous or Medical 26 Waste Disposal Facilities $5,000 bond and $.25 per 27 ton of waste disposed of 28 ' during the calendar year 29 30 SECTION 2. Declaring an emergency.
