AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LITTLE ROCK, ARK.,
ORDINANCE 15,974 (DECEMBER 4, 1990)
ESTABLISHING ADMISSION FEES FOR THE
LITTLE ROCK ZOO; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance 15,974
(December 4, 1990) is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section (1) The following admission fees are
hereby established to be charged at the Little
Rock Zoo beginning January 1, 1994:
Adults (13 and over) $3.00
Children (1 to 12) $1.00
Group Rates (with reservations) $ .50
Section (2) There will be no admission charge for:
(a) The last Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m.
to 11:30 a.m. except on Friends of the Zoo
Sponsored Special Events. (b) Friends of the Zoo
Members with Membership card.
Section (3) Friends of the Zoo, Inc. are limited
to four (4) weekend special events per year and
are permitted to collect revenue from the gift
shop and special events with Parks Director
approval.

SECTION 2: One Hundred (100 %) percent of the
increase in Zoo admission fees established or authorized by
this Ordinance shall be distributed to the City's General
Fund.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
SECTION 4: Emergency. The fiscal maintenance of a
viable zoo is essential to the public health, safety and
welfare. An emergency is therefore declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in effect from and after the date of
its passage.
