AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 16,331 (THE 1993
BUDGET ORDINANCE) APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
RENOVATION OF AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY BOARD ROOM;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas passed
the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas for 1993 on December 21,
1992; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 1993, the citizens of the City will elect four
additional Board Members, requiring substantial renovation and remodeling to the
Board Room, and expanded and improved communications equipment is also desired
to improve the operations of City government and communications with citizens; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000) is hereby appropriated from
the Special Projects Fund balance for the cost of renovating, remodeling and equipping
the City Board Room.
SECTION 2. The table in Section 4 of Ordinance No. 16,331 is hereby amended
to include the following - "City Board, $55,000" - and the total of the table is hereby
increased to $3,344,000.
SECTION 3. That all other provisions of Ordinance No. 16,331 shall remain in
full force and effect.

SECTION 4. DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. It is hereby found and
determined that there is an immediate and urgent need to provide suitable meeting
space and communications and other equipment for the expanded City Board of
Directors after November 16, and that providing such space and equipment is essential
for the appropriate operation of City government and the safety and general welfare of
the City; an emergency is therefore declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after the date of execution.
