ORDINANCE NO 16,458
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY LAND USE PLAN
IN THE CHENAL PLANNING DISTRICT AND FOR
OTHER MATTERS

WHEREAS, the property owners have requested the changes, and;
WHEREAS, the Planning Staff agrees that the plan changes are
appropriate, and;
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission after conducting
a public hearing recommends the plan changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AR.
SECTION 1: An area of Public Institutional (PI) is replaced
with Park /Open Space (P /OS) to the southeast of the Chenal Parkway
- Taylor Loop (west leg) extension intersection due to the steep
topography.
SECTION 2: The Commercial (C), Office (0) and low density
multi - family (IMF) to the north of Chenal Parkway at the proposed
intersection with an unnamed arterial is all changed to single
family, since the road is relocated and the intensity of use is no
longer justified.

SECTION 3: An area of Neighborhood Commercial (NC) is located
at the southeast corner of Chenal Parkway with the relocated north
- south arterial.
SECTION 4: The commercial at the southeast corner of
Highway 10 and Chenal Parkway is expanded to the east, changing
an area of LMF to C. The commercial boundary will be a large
electric utility easement right -of -way.
SECTION 5: At the intersection with the north - south
arterial and Highway 10 the Commercial is enlarged to include areas
which were office and LMF (southeast corner) with a new office area
as transition to single family. On the southwest corner IMF is
changed to Office and a larger IMF area is added.
SECTION 6: A Park /Open Space area is added on the north side
of the unnamed north - south arterial south and west of the IMF,
for a neighborhood recreation area.
