4 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 16,331
5 (THE 1993 BUDGET ORDINANCE) APPROPRIATING
6 FUNDS FOR CERTAIN EXPENDITURES; AND
7
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT
8
9 FOR THE PURCHASE OF POLICE PATROL SEDANS.

11 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas passed
12 the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas for 1993 on December 21,
13 1992; and
14
15 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 16,369 amended the 1993 Budget Ordinance and
16 appropriated additional funds for the Police Department, including the acquisition of
17 additional vehicles; and
18
19 WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to adjust appropriations made in Section 4 of
20 Ordinance No. 16,331.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
22
23 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
24 SECTION 1. The 1993 Budget Ordinance, as amended, included in the
25 Southwest Substation Detective Program, Organization Number 5400, $15,500 for the
26
27 purchase of new vehicles, and included in the Downtown Patrol Program, Organization
28 Number 5500, $54,480 for the purchase of new vehicles (three patrol units and one
29 unmarked sedan). The Fleet Fund 1993 Budget acquisition appropriation, therefore,
30 should be increased by this combined $69,980 to purchase the vehicles.

32 SECTION 2. The third paragraph of Section 4 of Ordinance No. 16,331 is hereby
33 amended to read as follows:
34 "There is hereby appropriated from the Fleet
35 Fund acquisition budget $2,842,490 for
36 purchase of vehicles required to meet the
needs of the City's departments."

SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend contracts
approved in Resolution No. 8,867 for the purchase of the following additional police
patrol sedans for the Department of General Services/Fleet Services Division:
A. To Russell Chevrolet, in an amount not to
exceed $40,433.61 a contract to purchase (3)
full size police patrol sedans.
B. To Bale Chevrolet in an amount not to
exceed $13,674.46 a contract to purchase (1)
full size, unmarked police sedan.
SECTION 4. That all other provisions of Ordinance No. 16,331 shall remain in
full force and effect.
