ORDINANCE NO. 15,108
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING
EAST 17TH STREET BETWEEN
BOND AND FRAZIER PIKE IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, it has been determined that East 17th Street between Bond
Street and Frazier Pike in part of the NE 1/4 and part of the SE 1/4 of
Section 12, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, is no
longer needed for corporate purposes, except for public utility and drainage
easement purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Except as stated in Section 2 below, the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights,
together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street
designated as follows:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
A tract of land situated in part of the NE 1/4 and part of
the SE 1/4 of Section 12, Township 1 North, Range 12 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly described
as follows:
Commencing at the NW corner of the NE 1/4, SE 1/4, of said
Section 12, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; thence West 21.59 feet; thence
South 23.45 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point being
on the South line of a 50 foot right -of -way for East 17th
Street, said point also being the intersection of the West
right -of -way line of Frazier Pike with the South right -of -way
line of East 17th Street; thence N 89° 32' 02" W along said
South right -of -way line of East 17th Street, 1138.70 feet to
the intersection of said South right -of -way of East 17th
Street with the East right -of -way line of Bond Street; thence
N 460 55' 17" W, 73.85 feet to the intersection of the North
right -of -way line of East 17th Street with the East right -of-
way line of Bond Street; thence S 89° 32' 02" E along said
North right -of -way line of East 17th Street, 1252.65 feet to
the intersection of said north right -of -way line of East
17th Street with the East right- of-way line of Frazier Pike;
thence South along said East right -of -way line of Frazier
Pike 50.00 feet; thence N 89° 32' 02" W, 60.00 feet to the
Point of Beginning, and containing 1.407 acres (61,284
S.F. ), more or less.

SECTION 2. The City specifically retains the right to use, and allow
others to use, the former street right -of -way in its entirety as a public
utility and drainage easement.
SECTION 3. Abutting owners of record, receiving title to the
abandoned right -of -way and easement shall at their cost remove all vestiges
of public use and access as may exist; such modifications shall include, but
are not limited to the following:
A. The entrances of both ends of the abandoned right- of-way and
easement shall be offset and /or rebuilt to conform to the
standard driveway design as required by Ordinance No. 12,501.
B. The edge of pavement of the right -of -way shall be rebuilt to
conform to existing conditions in the general vicinity where the
abandoned right -of -way and easement intersects with the remaining
public right -of -way.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and
recorded in the records of the County.

SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
