NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn for public purpose being the widening, paving, and reconstruction of the V.A. /Medical Center Street improvements, the following parcel of real property lying in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit: A parcel of land situated in Lots 5 and 6, Block 4 of the Plateau Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an iron pin at the NW corner of said Lot 6, said pin being the point of intersection of the south right -of -way line of Markham Street and the east right -of -way of Elm Street; thence along the south right -of -way line of Markham Street S 880 24' 24" E, 22.00 feet; thence S 01° 35' 36" W, 1.00 foot; thence along a curve to the left an arc distance of 27.12 feet, said curve having a chord bearing and distance of S 58° 44' 55" W, 25.81 feet to a point on the east right -of -way line of Elm Street; thence along said east right -of -way line N 00° 22' 32" E, 15.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; said parcel containing 0.003 acres (113 S.F.), more or less. 334 D -i g M •M M M M M M M r M M 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 0 11■r � � � And also, a temporary construction easement being a part of said Lots 5 and 6, 5 feet in width lying south and east of, adjacent to, and parallel with the following described line: Commencing at an iron pin at the NW corner of said Lot 6, said pin being the point of intersection of the south right -of -way line of Markham Street and the east right -of -way line of Elm Street; thence along the south right -of -way line of Markham Street S 880 24' 24" E, 22.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence SO10 35' 36" W, 1.00 foot; thence along a curve to the left an arc distance of 27.12 feet; said curve having a chord bearing and distance of S 58° 44' 55" W, 25.81 feet to a point on the east right -of -way line of Elm Street; thence along said east right -of -way of Elm Street S 00° 22' 32" W., 35.24 feet to the intersection of the east right -of -way line of Elm Street and the north right -of -way line of Plateau Street; thence S 570 37' 44" E, 45.00 feet, said temporary construction easement containing 0.012 acres (539 S.F.), more or less. SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares that the above described parcel of land is needed for public purpose as aforesaid and that it desires to acquire fee simple title to said parcel which is presently owned by Baird, Inc., and the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to file in the proper court proceedings under the City's power of eminent domain for the condemnation of said parcel and secure an order of said court permitting the City to take possession of said property and to do any and all other things necessary in order to obtain immediate possession of said property. 335 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 SECTION 3.
