AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN

THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS FOR THE V.A. /MEDICAL

CENTER ,STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; DIRECTING THE CITY
5
ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS; AND FOR

OTHER PURPOSES.

NOW., THEREFORE, BE.IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
9
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.

SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn
11
for ublic
p purpose being :the widening, paving, and
12
reconstruction of the V.A. /Medical Center street
13
improvements, the following parcels of real property lying
14
in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of
15
Arkansas, to -wit:

Said temporary construction easement being a part of
17
Lot 6, Block 2 of Reyburn and Wright's Addition to the
18
City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being
19
more particularly described as follows:

A strip of land 5 feet in width lying east of, adjacent
21
to, and parallel with the following described line:
22
Commencing at an iron pin at the SW corner of Lot 11,
23
Block 2 of said Reyburn and Wright's Addition, said pin
24
being the point of intersection of the north
25
right- of- way.line of West 6th Street and the east
26
right -of -way line of Elm Street; thence N 00° 10' 59"
27
E, 259.88 feet along the east right -of -way line of Elm
28
Street to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing
29
along said east right -of -way line of Elm Street N 00°
30
10' 59" E.; 135.00 feet to the point of intersection of
31
the south right -of -way line of West 5th Street and the
32
east right -of -way line of Elm Street; said temporary

construction easement containing 0.015 acres (675

S.F.), more or less.

SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares
that the above described parcel of land is needed for public
purpose as aforesaid and that it desires to acquire a
temporary c.onstruction'easement in said property owned by
Ms. Virginia R. Lenson and Gene L. Harris; and the City
Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to file in the
proper court proceedings under the City's power of eminent
domain for,the condemnation of said parcel and secure an
order of said court permitting the City to take possession
of said property and_to do any and all other things
necessary in order to obtain'immediate possession of said
property.
SECTION 3. This.Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its,passage.
