AN ORDINANCE.CONDEMNING,PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS FOR THE V.A /MEDICAL
CENTER STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; DIRECTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn
for public purpose being the widening, paving, and
reconstruction of the V.A. /Medical Center street
improvements, the following parcels of real property lying
in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of
Arkansas, to -wit:
A parcel of land situated in a part of Lot 12, Block 2
of Reyburn and Wright's Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin at the SE corner of said Lot
12, said pin being a point on the north right -of -way
line of West 6th Street; thence N 88° 27' 03" W, 134.48
feet along said north right -of -way line, said strip
containing 0.012 acres (538 S.F.), more or less.
And also, a strip of temporary construction easement 5
feet in width lying north of,.adjacent to, and parallel
with the proposed right -of -way described above, less
and except the area occupied by the structure; said
temporary construction easement containing 0.015 acres
(672 S.F.)', more or less.

SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares
that the above described parcel of land is needed for public
purpose as aforesaid and that it desires to acquire fee
simple title to said parcel which is presently owned by the
Burton Trust, C/O Mrs. M.B. Burton, Trustee; and the City
Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to file in the
proper court proceedings under the City's power of eminent
domain for the condemnation of said parcel and secure an
order of said:court permitting the City to take possession
of said property and to do any and all other things
necessary in order to obtain immediate possession of said
property.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
