ORDINANCE NO. 15,253
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $40,000.00 FROM THE
CITY'S GENERAL FUND TO CENTRAL ARKANSAS TRANSIT
AUTHORITY TO IMPLEMENT THE STUDY OF THE CITY'S
BUS ROUTES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Central Arkansas
Transit Authority and the Little Rock School District are likely
to face increased requests for local contributions to help finance
various transportation services in the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to explore
financing alternatives and new sources of revenue; and
WHEREAS, public school districts who are in need of
transportation services offer the most attractive possibility
for the realization of new revenues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY•OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Central
Arkansas Transit Authority $40,000.00 from the unappropriated
balance of the City's General Fund to be specifically used to
finance a route study to determine whether CATA can feasibly
and economically transport students attending school within the
Little Rock School District.
