AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $200,000.00 FOR
THE NEW FUTURES PROGRAM FROM THE ECONOMIC
AND NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock was one of ten cities
selected to present a proposal to Annie E. Casey Foundation for a
five -year matching grant to address the problems of at -risk youth;
and

WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock "New Futures" initiative
requires local matching funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's proposal must be submitted to the Casey
Foundation by January 15, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the balances
remaining in the General and Revenue Sharing Funds the sum of
$200,000.00 of previously appropriated funds for the Economic and
Neighborhood Development Program to be used as the City of Little
Rock's commitment to the New Futures Program.
