ORDINANCE NO. 14,517, TO ADD A
N R COMMUNITY PARK IN SOUTHWEST LITTLE ROCK,
REMOVE LAND FROM THE FOURCHE_BOTTOMS
v n PARK, AND RELOCATE THE PORT PARK.

WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning commission has
reviewed the amendments and after a public discussion has
recommended amending the Master Parks Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. To remove "Neighborhood Park: Park
Area 2C: Port of Little Rock Site. An area of property
located in the SW 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 10, T -1 -N, R -11 -W,
and also in the NW 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 15, T -1 -N, R -11 -W"
from the Plan and replace it with "Neighborhood Park: Park
Area 2C: Gates Island Site. An area of property located in
the N 1/2, Section 9, T -1 -N, R -11 -W, and also in the SW 1/4,
SW 1/4, Section 4, T -1 -N, R- 11 -W." (See Map A)
SECTION 2: To add "Community Park: Park Area 8F:
West Geyer Springs Site. An area of property located in the
NE 1/4, SE 1/4, Section 12, T -1 -S, R -13 -W" and "Community
Park: Park Area 8G: East Geyer Springs Site. An area of
property located in the NW 1/4, Section 7, T -1 -S, R -12 -W" to
the Little Rock Parks Plan. (See Map B)
SECTION 3. To replace the current legal description
from the Fourche Bottom Park with "Regional Park: Park Area
5B: Fourche Bottoms Park. All of the area continued in the
S 1/2, Section 17, T -1 -N, R -12 -W and N 1/2, SW 1/4,
Section 20, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, bounded to the west by the
Missouri Pacific Railroad, and the NE 1/4, Section 20,
T -1 -N, R -12 -W, and the N 1/2, SE 1/4, Section 20, T -1 -N,
R -12 -W, and the S 1/2, NW 1/4, Section 20, T -1 -N, R -12 -W,
less that area of property presently existing as Benny Craig
Park, and the E 1/2, SE 1/4, Section 18, SW 1/4, SE 1/4,
Section 18, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, bounded to the west by the T -1 -N,
R -12 -W, bounded to the east by the Mopac Railroad and to the
south by the existing park property in the Fourche Bottoms,
and MoPac Railroad and to the south by the existing park
property in the Fourche Bottoms and the NW 1/4, NW 1/4,
Section 20, T -1 -N, R -12 -W bounded to the south by the north
right -of -way of W. 60th Street" in order to remove the Worth
James Airport. (See Map C)

SECTION 4. To amend the Master Parks Plan Map to show
these changes.
SECTION S. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed as of the effective
date of this ordinance.
