AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING
TEMPLE STREET BETWEEN
FOURCHE DAM PIKE AND RELOCATED AIRPORT DRIVE
IN N/A ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Temple Street between Fourche Dam
Pike and Relocated Airport Drive in Block N/A of N/A Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said Addition now
appearing of record in Deed Book N /A, Page N/A in the Office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, is no longer needed for corporate purposes,
except for public utility and drainage easement purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Except as stated in Section 2 below, the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights,
together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street
designated as follows:
A tract of land situated in the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4,
Section 8, Township 1 North, Range 11 West, City of Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, being described as follows:
Commencing at a chiseled "R" at the SW corner of the NW 1/4 of said
Section 8, T -1 -N, R -11 -W, thence S 88 °05121" E along the east and
west centerline of Section 8, 905.76 feet; thence N 00 °30120" W,
50.20 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point being the
intersection of the West right -of -way line of Temple Street with the
North right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence along said West
right -of -way line of Temple Street N 00 030120" W, 610.26 feet;
thence continuing along said West right -of -way line N 01 °10108" W,
386.03 feet; thence N 88 °49'52" E, 60.00 feet to the East right -of-
way line of Temple Street; thence along said East right -of -way line
of Temple Street S 01 °10108" E, 386.38 feet; thence continuing along
said East right -of -way line S 00 °30120" E, 608.62 feet to the
intersection of the East right -of -way line of Temple Street with the
North right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence along said North
right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike S 87 °35146" W, 60.03 feet to
the Point of Beginning; said tract containing 1.371 acres (59,739
S.F.), more or less.
SECTION 2. The City specifically retains the right to use, and allow
others to use, the former street right -of -way in its entirety as a public
utility and drainage easement.
SECTION 3. Abutting owners of record, receiving title to the
abandoned right -of -way and easement shall at their cost remove all vestiges of
public use and access as may exist; such modifications shall include, but are
not limited to the following:
A. The entrances on both ends of the abandoned right -of -way and
easement shall be offset and /or rebuilt to conform to the
standard driveway design as required by Ordinance No. 12,501.

B. The edge of pavement of the right -of -way shall be rebuilt to
conform to existing conditions in the general vicinity where the
abandoned right -of -way and easement intersects with the remaining
public right -of -way.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and
recorded in the records of the County.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
