AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING
FOURCHE DAM PIKE BETWEEN
AIRPORT DRIVE AND RELOCATED FOURCHE DAM PIKE
IN N/A ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Fourche Dam Pike between Air-
port Drive and Relocated Fourche Dam Pike in Block N/A of N/A Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said
Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book N /A, Page N/A in the Office
of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, is no longer needed for cor-
porate purposes, except for public utility & drainage easement purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Except as stated in Section 2 below, the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights,
together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street
designated as follows:
A tract of land situated in the SEk of the NWk, the NEk of the
SWk, and the NWk of the SEk, all in Section 8, Township 1
North, Range 11 West, City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a chiseled "x" at the NW Corner of the SWk of
said Section 8, T -1 -N, R -11 -W; thence S88 005121 11E along the
east and west centerline of Section 8, 459.43 feet to the Point
of Beginning; thence NO1 °12101 "W, 31.60 feet to the north
right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence along the north
right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike the following courses and
distances: N89 °17140 "E, 506.32 feet; N87 °35'46 "E, 140.00
feet; N88 °44145 "E, 299.52 feet; S82 °26'52 "E, 93.35 feet;
S79 022125 11E, 597.56 feet; S79 °07'46 "E, 463.84 feet;
N39 °27118 "E, 2.85 feet; and S79 °07146 "E, 46.54 feet; thence
continuing along said north right -of -way line on a non - tangent
curve to the right having a radius of 153.46 feet, a central
angle of 20 948'55" and a chord bearing and distance of
S68 043119 "E, 55.45 feet; thence continuing along said north
right -of -way line S88 °35130 "E, 82.13 feet to the intersection
of the north right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike with the
north right -of -way line of Kellett Road; thence S09 °40'48 "E,
40.76 feet to the intersection of the east right -of -way line of
Fourche Dam Pike with the south right -of -way line of Kellett
Road; thence S09 °05'48 "W along the east right -of -way line of
Fourche Dam Pike 876.92 feet; thence continuing along said east
right -of -way line along a curve to the left having a radius of
50.00 feet, a central angle of 97 °34'21" and a chord bearing
and distance of S39 °41123 11E, 75.23 feet to the north right -of-
way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence S88 °28133 11E along the

north right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike 424.03 feet to the
intersection of said north right -of -way line of Fourche Dam
Pike with the west right -of -way line of Relocated Fourche Dam
Pike; thence S46 °30152 "W along the west right -of -way line of
Relocated Fourche Dam Pike 56.56 feet to the intersection of
the west right -of -way line of Relocated Fourche Dam Pike with
the south right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence
N88 °28'33 "W along the south right -of -way line of Fourche Dam
Pike 461.97 feet to the intersection of said south right -of-
way line of Fourche Dam Pike with the west right -of -way line of
Fourche Dam Pike; thence along the west right -of -way line of
Fourche Dam Pike the following courses and distances:
NO3 °20109 11E, 9.27 feet; N04 039140 11E, 306.22 feet; and
N09 005148 11E, 547.81 feet; thence continuing along said west
right -of -way line along a curve to the left having a radius of
113.46 feet, a central angle of 88 °13134" and a chord bearing
and distance of N35 °00'59 "W, 157.95 feet to the south right -of-
way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence along the south right -of-
way line of Fourche Dam Pike the following courses and
distances: N79 007146 11W, 511.67 feet; N79 °26159 "W, 606.53 feet;
N82 °59'32 "7, 92.00 feet; S88 026120 "W, 216.41 feet; and
S88 047159 11W, 713.81 feet; thence N01 °12101 "W, 7.61 feet to the
Point of Beginning; tract containing 3.273 acres (142,581
S.F.), more or less.
SECTION 2. The City specifically retains the right to use, and
allow others' to use, the former street right -of -way in its entirety as a
public utility and drainage easement.
SECTION 3. Abutting owners of record, receiving title to the
abandoned right -of -way and easement shall at their cost remove all
vestiges of public use and access as may exist; such modifications shall
include, but are not limited to the following:
A. The entrances on both ends of the abandoned right -of -way and
easement shall be offset and /or rebuilt to conform to the
standard driveway design as required by Ordinance No. 12,501.
B. The edge of pavement of the right -of -way shall be rebuilt to
conform to existing conditions in the general vicinity where
the abandoned right -of -way and easement intersects with the
remaining public right -of -way.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and
recorded in the records of the County.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
