AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LANDS TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, an Amended and Restated Petition for Voluntary
Annexation (the "Petition ") was filed with the County Clerk of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, on October 7, 1988 by the owners of the
hereinafter described lands praying that said lands be annexed to
and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on December 1, 1988, the County Court of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, found that the Petition was signed by a

majority of the total number of real property owners in the area

5 proposed to be annexed and by the owners of more than one -half of
r, the acreage of said area; that said lands are contiguous to and

adjoining the present corporate limits of the City of Little

Rock; that an accurate map of said lands had been filed with and
w made a part of said Petition; that proper notice had been given

for the time and in the manner prescribed by law; and that all

q things pertaining thereto had been done in the manner prescribed
by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part
of the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said Order
of Annexation made by the Pulaski County Court has expired and no
appeal has been taken from said Order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous to
and adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, excluding adja-
cent streets and public rights -of -way and specifically excluding
the right -of -way for Gordon Road, be and the same hereby is
accepted as annexed to and made a part of the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas; to -wit:
Section 25 and parts of Sections 23, 24, 26, 35, and 36,
T -2 -N, R -14 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, all more par-
ticularly described as: Beginning at the Northeast
corner of said Section 25, said corner lying on the

Present City Limits Line; thence South along the East

line of said Section 25, said East line also being the
Present City Limits Line, to the Southeast corner
thereof; thence West along the South line of said
Section 25 to the Northeast corner of the W 1/2, NE 1/4,
said Section 36; thence South along the East line of
said W 1/2, NE 1/4 to a point 222.82 ft. North of the
Southeast corner of said W 1/2, NE 1/4; thence West
along a line, 222.82 ft. North of and parallel with the
South line of said W 1/2, NE 1/4, 1322.82 ft. to a
point; thence S 66° 30' 55" W, 467.79 ft. to a point on
the East right -of -way line of Chenal Mountain Parkway;
thence Southeasterly along said East right -of -way line
to a point 272.67 ft., S 88° 25' 14" E and 516.8 ft., N
0° 45' 34" E of the Southwest corner of the W 1/2, SE
1/4, said Section 36; thence N 880 25' 14" W, 272.67 ft.
to a point on the East line of the SW 1/4, said Section
36, said line being the Present City Limits Line; thence
South along said East line, said line also being the
Present City Limits Line, to a point on the North line
of Unit 1, Independence Farms, a subdivision in Pulaski
County, Arkansas; thence Northwesterly along said North
line of Independence Farms to the Northeast corner of
Tract 5, said Independence Farms; thence North 701 ft.
to a point; thence West 197.4 ft. to a point; thence
South 693 ft. to the Northwest corner of said Tract 5;
thence continuing Northwesterly along the North line of
Independence Farms to the Northwest corner of Tract 15,
Independence Farms, said corner lying on the East line
of the West 990 ft. of the SE 1/4, SE 1/4 said Section
35; thence North along said East line to the Northeast
corner of said West 990 ft. to the North line of said
SE 1/4, SE 1/4; thence West along the North line of said
SE 1/4, SE 1/4, to the Northwest corner thereof; thence
South along the West line of said SE 1/4, SE 1/4 to a
point on the North line of said Independence Farms;
thence Northwesterly along the North line of
Independence Farms and said North line extended
Northwesterly to a point on the West line of the E 1/2,
NE 1/4, SW 1/4, said Section 35; thence North along the
West line of said E 1/2, NE 1/4, SW 1/4, to the
Northwest corner thereof; thence West along the South
line of the E 1/2, NW 1/4, said Section 35, to the
Southwest corner thereof; thence North along the West
line of said E 1/2, NW 1/4, to the Southeast corner of
the W 1/2, SW 1/4, Section 26, T -2 -N, R -14 -W; thence
West along the South line of said Section 26 to the
Southeast corner of the W 1/2, W 1/2, SW 1/4, said
Section 26; thence North along the East line of said W
1/2, W 1/2, SW 1/4, 1650 ft. to a point; thence West to
a point on the West line of said Section 26; thence
North along said West line to the Northwest corner of
said Section 26; thence North along the West line of the
S 1/2, S 1/2, Section 23, to the Northwest corner
thereof; thence Easterly along the North line of said S
1/2, S 1/2, Section 23, to the Northeast corner thereof;
thence East along the North line of the SW 1/4, SW 1/4,
Section 24, T -2 -N, R -14 -W to the Northeast corner
thereof; thence East along the North line of the W 1/2,
SE 1/4, SW 1/4 Section 24 to the Northeast corner
thereof, said corner being located on the Present City
Limits Line; thence South along the East line of said W
1/2, SE 1/4, SW 1/4, and the Present City Limits Line to
a point on the North line of Section 25, T -2 -N, R -14 -W;
thence East along the North line of said Section 25, and
the Present City Limits Line to the point of beginning,
containing 2,180 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
