AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY
LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AMENDING SECTION 36 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND REQUIRING
TREE PLANTING IN THE WESTERN "OS" AREA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the
following property be and is hereby changed as indicated:
Z -5185 - Described as a tract of land in the SE 1/4,

NE 1/4, Section 35, T -1 -N, R -13 -W, Pulaski County,
Arkansas more particularly described as:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the SE 1/4,
NE 1/4; thence north OOo58' east along the west line of
the said SE 1/4, NE 1/4 for 406.6 feet to an iron pin;
thence north 74052' east for 370.7 feet to an iron pin;
thence south 15031' east for 522.4 feet to a point on
the south line of the said SE 1/4, NE 1/4; thence west
504.46 feet to the Point of Beginning containing
4.58 acres, more or less, from "R -2," Single Family to
"C -4," Open Display
AND
LESS AND EXCEPT, the west 50 feet of the above
described tract of land from "R -2," Single Family to
"OS," Open Space,
AND
LESS AND EXCEPT, a part of the SE 1/4, NE 1/4, and part
of the NE 1/4, SE 1/4, Section 35, T -1 -N, R -13 -W,
Pulaski County, Arkansas described as follows:
Commence at the northwest corner of said SE 1/4,
NE 1/4; thence south 00058' west along the west line of
said SE 1/4, NE 1/4, 862.8 feet to a point; thence
north 74052' east 170.7 feet to the Point of Beginning;
thence north 74052' east 200.0 feet to a point; thence

south 15 031' east 589.0 feet to a point on the south
line of said SE 1/4, NE 1/4; thence west along said
south line 150.0 feet; thence northwesterly along a
curve having a radius of 2000 feet, a central angle of
15 052', a chord distance of 552.5 feet, and a chord
bearing of north 21008' west to the Point of Beginning
containing 2.2 acres, more or less, from "R -2," Single
Family to "OS," Open Space. (North side of 1 -30 east
of McDaniel Drive)
SECTION 2. That in order to enhance the butter area
for the adjoining residential development, the 50 foot "OS"
strip on the west side of the property shall be planted with
two staggered rows of loblolly pine trees spaced 15 feet
apart. Said pine trees shall be planted outside the drip
lines of existing trees, and the landscape plan for planting
of the trees must be approved by the Little Rock Parks and
Recreation Department prior to planting. The trees shall be
planted within ninety (90) days of passage of this ordinance
and shall be continually maintained in good condition.
SECTION 3. That the map referred to in Section 36 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock and
designated district map be and is hereby amended to the
extent and in the respects necessary to affect and designate
the change provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 4. That the ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its passage and approval.
