14848ORDINANCE NO. 14,848 78 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 14,572, CONCERNING THE ALLOCATIONS OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR FIRE EQUIPMENT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock appropriated $250,000.00 in Ordinance No. 14,572, for an aerial tractor trailer fire truck; and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock appropriated $123,500.00 in Ordinance No. 14,572 for a 1,250 gallon pumper truck with a 750 gallon booster tank; and WHEREAS, these trucks are now being purchased within a municipal lease agreement between the City of Little Rock and M.I.C.A. to assist the Little Rock Ambulance Authority in the construction of a headquarters building. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE POCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 14,572 is amended to provide authority for the above listed fire fighting equipment to be included with other lease equipment leased by the Little Rock Ambulance Authority through a municipal lease agreement approved in Resolution No. 7,333 of the Board of Directors on February 19, 1985; and SECTION 2. That payment for said equipment is to be made out of Little Rock Ambulance Authority funds available under the terms of the lease arrangement; and SECTION 3. That the $250,000.00 appropriation made by Ordinance No. 14,572 is reappropriated for the purpose of building a headquarters building for the Little Rock Ambulance Authority; and that $108,000.00 of the $123,500.00 appropriated in Ordinance No. 14,572 is hereby reappropriated for the same purpose; and SECTION 4. That the City Manager and the Director of Finance are authorized to advance funds to the Little Rock Ambulance Authority for payment of the construction cost of the facilities to the amount of $358,000.00 upon receipt of proper documentation for such payment. 0- /0 6-13 • • 79 SECTION 5. DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. It is hereby found and determined that there is an immediate and urgent need for the building of a headquarters for the Little Rock Ambulance Authority and that this is essential in order to provide all services necessary for the public health, safety, and welfare. Therefore, an emergency is declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately.
