NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That 44 -2 Definitions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas be amended to read as follows: Subsection 1. The defintion of a Directional/ Information sign be amended to read as follows: Directional /Information Sign - A sign of two foot square or less, and no more than six feet in height, giving direction to a specific location, instructions or facility information. Said sign may contain the business name or logo and an arrow for direction of travel, but no advertising or commerical copy. SECTION 2. That 44- 3(c)(3) be amended to read as follows: (3) Directional /Information signs as defined in.Section 44 -2 of this chapter. SECTION 3. Declaring an Emergency. It is hereby found the present Sign Ordinance does not adequately address this type of sign. This Ordinance is necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
