4 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION
5 OF PROPERTY FOR CITY PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 1986
6 FOR VARIOUS FUNDS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.

8 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
9 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
10 SECTION 1. The rate of taxation of real and personal
11 property in the City of Little Rock for certain City purposes for
12 the year 1986 is hereby fixed and established and levied as
13 follows:
14 For general purposes in order to carry on
15 the affairs of the City Government under Section
16 4, Article 12 of and Amendment 10 to the
17 Constitution of Arkansas of 1874, there is
18 hereby levied a tax of five (5) mills.
19 For the purpose of paying bonds and interest
20 as may be required for the City of Little Rock,
21 Arkansas, refunding and Capital Improvement Bonds
22 approved.at a special election held on September
23 21, 1976, a tax of three and seventy -five one
24 hundredths, (3.75) mills.
25 For the purpose of paying Policemen's Pensions
26 in accordance with the provisions of Amendment
27 No. 31 to the Constitution of the State of
28 Arkansas, a tax of one (1) mill.
29 For the purpose of paying Firemen's Pensions,
30 in accordance with the provisions of Amendment
31 No. 31 to the Constitution of the State of Arkansas,
32 adopted November 5, 1940, and Act 16 of the Acts of
33 the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas for the
34 year.1941, a tax of one (1) mill.

1 For the purpose of maintaining the City Library,
2 in accordance with the provisions of Amendment
3 No. 30 to the Constitution of the State of
4 Arkansas, a tax of one (1) mill.
5 SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit
6 a certified copy of this Ordinance to the County Clerk of Pulaski
7 County to the end that the taxes herein recited may be extended
8 on the tax books of Pulaski County and collected with the other
9 taxes for the year 1986.
