AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE POLICE
SPECIAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT REDUCTION TEAM,
WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS AND OVERTIME PAY AND
FOR AUTHORIZATION TO TRANSFER MONEY FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the City
of Little Rock General Fund the following amounts for the
purposes stated:
1. $80,000 Police . Special Traffic Accident
Reduction Team.
2. $100,000 Workers' Compensation Claims. In
addition to this appropriation the City Manager
and the Finance Director are authorized to
expend $575,000 received from the State of
Arkansas for the Workers' Compensation Program.
3. $95,000 Overtime Pay for Police, Fire and other
departments as required by the Fair Labor
Standards Act.
SECTION 2. The $41,200 remaining in Project 8211, "OSHA
Repairs ", is hereby authorized to be transferred to another
project_ and used for the purchase and installation of an
automated fuel dispensing system, and for professional services
to assist the City in evaluating the heating and air conditioning
systems in large City buildings.
