AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO METROCENTRE
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be a majority in value or more
in assessed value of real property located within the territory
hereinafter described have filed petitions praying that all real
property embraced within said territory be annexed to
Metrocentre Improvement District No. 1 of Little Rock, Arkansas,
for the purposes hereinafter set out and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all
the parties desiring to be heard, has ascertained that said
petitions were signed by a majority in value or more in assessed
value of the owners of real property within said territory
sought to be annexed, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That there is hereby annexed to Metrocentre
Improvement District No. 1 of Little Rock, Arkansas, the
following property located in the County of Pulaski, State of
Arkansas, to -wit:
All of Block 36 and Lots 7 to 12, Block 35 ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas;
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, Block 1; Lots 7 to 12,
inclusive, Block 2 and Lots 7 and 8 and West 10 feet
of Lot 9, Block 3, POPE'S ADDITION to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas;
Portions of East Markham Street; Cumberland; Rock
Street; Commerce Street and a portion of Sherman
Street which has been closed.
All more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the North line of
East Second Street with the West line of Cumberland
Street; thence run North along the West line of
Cumberland Street to its intersection with the South
line of East Markham Street 50 feet; thence North 60
feet to the North line of East Markham Street; thence
North along West line of Cumberland Street 140 feet;
thence East along a line which is 140 feet North of
and parallel to the North line of East Markham Street
1300 feet to a point which is 10 feet East of the
Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 3; thence South along
a line which is 10 feet East of the West line of said
Lot 9, Block 3 and its extension South for 200 feet to

the South line of East Markham Street; thence West 209
along the South line of East Markham Street 830 feet
to its intersection with East line of Rock Street;
thence South along East line of Rock Street 300 feet
to its intersection with North line of East Second
Street; thence West along North line of East Second
Street 420 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
for the purpose of maintaining, operating, making improvements,
and keeping such improvements in a good state of repair, all in
accordance with the general purposes for which the District was
created; said purposes to be accomplished in the manner and of
the materials that the commissioners of the District shall deem
to be in the best interest of the District, and the cost thereof
to be assessed on the real property above described according to
the benefits received.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
