AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $200,000.00
TO CENTRAL ARKANSAS TRANSIT FOR PAYMENT
OF ITS INSURANCE PREMIUM; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the City's
General Fund the sum of $200,000.00 as the City's share of the
insurance premium for Central Arkansas Transit.
SECTION 2. Declaring an Emergency. It is hereby found
and determined that there is an immediate and urgent need for
adopting this ordinance in order that Central Arkansas Transit
may continue to operate and that the citizens of the City of
Little Rock can be better protected and served. Therefore, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being
necessary for the preservation and advance of the public health,
safety and welfare, shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
