14918201 ORDINANCE NO. 14,918 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING THE NORTH 12 FEET OF THE RIGHT OF WAY OF E. 7TH STREET BETWEEN FOWLER SQUARE AND SHERMAN STREETS IN STEVENSONS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, it has been determined that the North 12 feet of the right of way of E. 7th Street between Fowler Square and Shermaaq Streets in The Fowler Block of Stevenson's Addition to the City of Litt'Te Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book A.B., Page 228 in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, is no longer needed for corporate purposes, except for public utility and drainage easement purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Except as stated in Section 2 below, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street designates as follows: (Legal Description) The North 12 feet of the E. 7th Street right of way, lying South of an adjacent to the following described property: The South one hundred fifty feet of the following described tract of land; The East one hundred fifty feet of the Fowler Block in Stevenson's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a triangular piece of ground extending North and South through the Fowler Block with a base of 26.7 feet on 7th Street and an apex on 6th Street, and lying between the Gracie Tract on the West and A. Mills.and C.F. Penzel on the East, as shown on the recorded plat of the Fowler Block, said right of way being more particularly describes as: Beginning at the intersection of the West right of way line of Sherman Street and the North right of way line of E. 7th Street, said point also being the Southeast corner of the Fowler Block; thence S. 5 deg. 16 min. W. 12.03 ft. to a point; thence N. 80 deg. 32 min. W. along a line 12.0 ft. South of and parallel with the North right of way line of said E. 7th Street, 173.37 ft. to a point; thence N. 9 deg. 10 min. E. 12.0 ft. to a point on the North right of way line of E. 7th Street; thence S. 80 deg. 32 min. E. along said North right of way line, 172.55 ft. to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. The City specifically retains the right to use, and allow others to use, the former street right of way in its entirety as a public utility and drainage easement. SECTION 3. Abutting owners of record, receiving title to the abandoned right of way and easement shall at their cost remove all vestiges of public use and access as may exist; such modifications shall include, but are not limited to the following: A. The entrances on both ends of the abandoned right of way and easement shall be offset and /or rebuilt to conform to the standard driveway design as required by Ordinance No. 12,501. B. The edge of pavement of the right of way shall be rebuilt to conform to existing conditions in the general vicinity where the abandoned right of way and easement intersects with the remaining public right of way. o - i/ E -S �r rr rr ri rr rr r �r rr r ri r r r� �r 202 SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the records of the County. SECTION 5.
