ORDINANCE NO. 14,793
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION
OF APPROXIMATELY ONE -HALF ACRE ADJACENT TO
BUTLER PARK FOR THE PARK EXPANSION: AND
APPROPRIATING $12,500.00 FOR THE PURCHASE
OF THE LAND.
WHEREAS, approximately one -half acre or 29,840 square
feet adjacent to Butler Park is needed for expansion of the park;
and
WHEREAS, that property has been appraised for
approximately $132,000.00; and
WHEREAS, a portion of that property is in the floodway;
and
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase the property, but
only has limited funds; and
WHEREAS, the owners are willing to dedicate the
remainder.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the acquisition of approximately one -half acre or 29,840 square
feet of property adjacent to Butler Park for expansion of the
park.
SECTION 2: There is hereby appropriated from the
Parks' Bond Interest Fund $12,500.00 for the acquisition of the
property.
