AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING A 19 FOOT STRIP
OF LAND NORTH OF WEST MARKHAM STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY
LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER NORTHEAST QUARTER,
SECTION 4, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 13 WEST, CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a 19 foot strip of
land North of West Markham Street right -of -way located in
the Southwest Quarter Northeast Quarter, Section 4, Township
1 North, Range 13 West, City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the East
line of said SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and the North
right -of -way line of West Markham Street as now
located, which point is 23.58 feet S O1 000124" E
of the Northeast corner of said SW 1/4 of the NE
1/4; thence S 89 051'03" W along said North right -
of -way line 1330.30 feet to a point on the West
line of said SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4; thence N 0 °30'
West along said West line 19.36 feet; thence N
89 048'54" E 535.64 feet; thence N 89 054104" E
794.75 feet to a point on the East line of said
SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4; thence S O1 °00'24" E along
said East line 19.0 feet to the point of
beginning.
now appearing of record in Deed Book 1457, Page 706 in the
office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, is no
longer needed for corporate purposes, except for public
utility and drainage easement purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together
with the rights of the public generally, in and to the strip
of land designated as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the East
line of said SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and the North
right -of -way line of West Markham Street as now
located, which point is 23.58 feet S O1 100124" E
of the Northeast corner of said SW 1/4 of the NE
1/4; thence S 89 °51'03" W along said North right -
of -way line 1330.30 feet to a point on the West

subject, however, to: (1) the right of way being retained in its
entirety as a utility easement and (2) the right of way being retained
in its entirety as a temporary street construction easement until
the completion of the widening of West Markham Street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified
by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the
Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the records of
the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
