AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
RUMMEL ROAD WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 137
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than a
majority in assessed value of the real property-located within

0 the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying

of that an improvement district be established for the purposes hereinafter

v� set out; and

a WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Board
of Directors of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all the parties
desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was
signed by more than a majority in assessed value of the owners
of real property within said territory; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINEDI!BY -THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in and adjacent to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:

NE4 NE4 SE4;
E' of the SE4 NE4, lying South of the C.R.I.P. Ry. right of way;
All in Section 13, Township 2 North, Range 14 West.

Section 18, Township 2 North, Range 13 West.
for the purpose of constructing water distribution lines and facilities to
supply the inhabitants of said territory with water services,
connecting the same to the water system of the Little Rock Municipal
Water Works and in order to obtain a source of supply to construct

water lines to a proper source beyond the boundaries of the district,,
for the purpose of obtaining by gift, purchase, or the exercise
of its right of eminent domain, the necessary rights of way and
easements for said water lines and facilities, and for the purpose
of contracting with the City of Little Rock for the operation
and maintenance of the water lines and facilities constructed
by the district, and the accomplishment of any and all of said
above purposes shall be done in such manner and with such materials
as the commissioners may deem for the best interest of the district.
The costs thereof shall be assessed and charged upon the real
property hereinabove described.
Said district shall be known as "Rummel Road Water Improvement
District No. 137 of Little Rock, Arkansas ", and Bryan L. Fitzgerald,
Johnnie W. Kelley, Sr., and Kenneth E. Duckworth are hereby named
commissioners, who shall compose the Board of Improvement for
said district.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
