ORDINANCE NO. 14,181
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING PORTIONS
OF LONGVIEW AVENUE, FORREST AVENUE, GASLAND
AVENUE, ROCKEFELLER AVENUE, SECOND STREET,
THIRD STREET, FOURTH STREET, AND TWO
ALLEYS ALL LOCATED IN ARKANSAS HEIGHTS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, it has been determined that below described
portions of Longview Avenue, Forrest Avenue, Gasland Avenue,
Rockefeller Avenue, Second Street, Third Street, Fourth
Street, and two alleys and all located in Arkansas Heights
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, are no longer
needed for corporate purposes, except for public utility and
drainage easement purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Pock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together
with the rights of the public generally in and to the
streets and alleys more particularly described as follows,
to wit:
LONGVIEW AVENUE: 30' R/W running south
from West Markham Street and adjacent
to Blocks 23, 22, 19 and 18 to the north
line of the Rock Creek Floodway.
FOREST AVENUE: The west 20' of R/W
running south from [Nest Markham Street
to the CL of a 15 -foot alley in Blocks
23 and 24; and the 40' R/W running south
from the CL of a 15 -foot alley in Blocks
23 & 24 and adjacent to Blocks 23, 24,
21, 22, 20, 19, 17 & 18 to the north line
of the Rock Creek Floodway.
GASLAND.AVENUE: The east 20'' of R/W
running south from West Parkharm Street
to the CL of Second Street, adjacent to
Block 24; and the 40' R/W running south
from the CL of Second Street and adjacent
to Blocks 21, 4, 5, 20, 17 & 8 to the
north line of the Rock Creek Floodway.

ROCKEFELLER AVENUE: The 40' R 114 running
south from CL of Second Street, adjacent
to Blocks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 to the north
line of the Rock Creek Floodway.
SECOND STREET: The south 20' R/W running
east from the west line of the east
half of Block 3 and adjacent to Blocks
3 & 4 to the CL of Gasland Avenue; and the
40' R/W running east from CL of Gasland
Avenue and adjacent to Blocks 21, 24, 22
& 23 to the west R/W of Longview Avenue.
THIRD STREET: The 40' R/W running east
from west line of the east half of Blocks
3 & 6 and adjacent to Blocks 3, 6, 4, 5,
20, 21, 19 & 22 to the west R/W of Longview
Avenue.
FOURTH STREET: The 40' R/W running east
from the west line of the east half of
Blocks 6 & 7 and adjacent to Blocks 6, 7,
5, 8, 17, 20,18 & 19 to the west R/W of
Longview Avenue.
AND;
The E -W 15 -foot alleys in; the east half of Block 3, the
east half of Block 6, the east half of Block 7, Block 24,
Block 4, Block 21, Block 22, Block 5, Block 20, Block 19,
Block 8, Block 17 and Block 18.
AND;
The south half of an E -14 15 -foot alley adjacent to Lots
6, 7, 8, 9 & 10, Block 23.
Containing 7.4 acres more or less.
Subject, however, to any public utility or drainage
easements located in said streets and alleys.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage.
