RESOLUTION NO. 8.267
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH TRA -FLAW SYSTEMS
CORPORATION TO UPGRADE THE CITY'S MAIN TRAFFIC
SIGNAL COMPUTER.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has a need to upgrade its
main traffic signal computer; and
WHEREAS, inasmuch as the software that now operates the
system is no longer manufactured or supported, maintenance on the
system hardware has become too expensive to maintain.
WHEREAS, Professional services proposals were received from
three consulting firms specializing in traffic signal systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with Tra -Flow Systems Corporation of Saddle Brook,
New Jersey, in an amount not to exceed $73,000 to upgrade the
City's main traffic signal computer. The contract for $73,000
represents $27,000 for hardware, $30,500 for software and $15,500
for maintenance services.
SECTION 2: Funds are available in Capital Improvement
Account No. 211 -0079, entitled "Traffic Signals 1988".
