A RESOLUTION HONORING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF
DAVE GRUNDFEST, JR,
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
COMMISSION;
WHEREAS, Dave Grundfest, Jr,, served with great distinction
as a Member of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission from
March 1, 1911, to July 5, 1981, and as the Chairman of the
Commission in 1981 and 1986; and,
WHEREAS, his vision for the future of air travel in
Arkansas and his practical knowledge of business and aviation
were critical to the ongoing development of the Airport; and,
WHEREAS, the untimely death of Dave Grundfest, Jr, has
deprived the Commission and the City of Little Rock of his
continued leadership and the benefits that his friendship and
guidance provided these bodies; and
WHEREAS, his many contributions to the Airport will stand
always as a memorial to his extraordinary service to the City of
Little Rock and the Airport;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
COMMISSION THAT;
SECTION 1, The invaluable service of Dave Grundfest, Jr,
to the Little Rock Municipal Airport, Adams Field, is hereby
recognized and grateful appreciation is expressed for his
outstanding loyalty, dedication, and sustained superior
performance from March 1, 1977 to July 5, 19870
SECTION 2, A special plaque commemorating his service to
Adams Field is hereby authorized to be displayed in an
appropriate location in the Airport terminal on behalf of the
Airport Commission and the City of Little Rock,
