NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. In compliance with Section 2 -44 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, the City Manager is hereby authorized to award a contract for the granting of a franchise to operate a wrecker service within the City of Little Rock to Asher Wrecker Service. Contract awarded to Routh Wrecker Service - see Res. #7,794 adopted 6- 10 -87. 217 2 -zy B0 OF DIRECTORS COMMUNICA N May 20, "1987 TO: BOAR F D RECTORS FROM: To a , ty Manager SUBJECT: Wrecker Franchise On April 14, 1987, the City of Little Rock advertised for bid proposals from interested parties, for the purpose of granting a franchise for the operation of a wrecker service within the city. A pre —bid conference was held for all bidders on April 15, 1987 at which time each item of the Request for Bid was explained including the basis for award. (Please see attachment) The following firms responded with bids: 1. Metro Towing & Recovery, Inc. 2. Asher Wrecker Service 3. Routh Wrecker Service 4. Trek, Inc. The review team of Jerry Paul, Chief Hale and Nathaniel Hill reviewed all bids and made site visits on May 5, 1987. It was determined by the team that all bidders were qualified to proceed to the second phase of the bid process. The envelop containing the prices of the bidders were opened on May 6, 1987 with the following results: (Bid tabulation is attached) BIDDER TOTAL POINTS 1. Metro 75 2. Asher 98 3. Routh 80 4. The lowest price in each category will receive the maximum amount of points for that category. All others, subtract "1" point from the maximum for every $2.00 over the lowest price.
