NOi4, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a contract for surveying services with Garver and Garver, Inc.,
in an amount not exceed $80,000, for the Fourche Creek Flood
Control Project. Monies for this contract have been previously
appropriated from revenue sharing funds.

Fourche Creek Flood Control Project
BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Resolution authorizing the City Manager to
execute a contract for engineering services with Garver and Garver, Inc., in an
amount not to exceed $80,000, for the Fourche Creek Flood Control Project.
DISCUSSION: Following procedures established in the recently adopted ordinance
governing the procurement of professional services, a consultant selection
committee has selected Garver and Garver, Inc., to provide surveying services
associated with right -of -way acquisition needed for the Fourche Creek Project.
The surveying to be accomplished in this project is the first step in acquiring
right -of -way needed. The first phase of the project, which includes channel and
related improvements within 6,000 feet of the Arkansas River, is tentatively
scheduled for an October 1 letting. Associated right -of -way must be obtained by
the City no later than August 31.
