RESOLUTION NO. 7,761 145
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SELI,
THE LOCOMOTIVE AND TENDER CAR LOCATED AT THE LITTLE
ROCK ZOO.
WHEREAS, insulation problems have developed'in'.the
undercarriage of the Locomotive located at the Little Rock
Zoo; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed to bring about another major
display at the Kiddie Zoo; and
WHEREAS,. funds realized from the sale of the locomotive
and tender car will allow the establishment of a fund for this
major display and allow us to attract additional interest from
other civic organizations for this project.
WHEREAS, the locomotive and tender car have been located
at the Little Rock Zoo for several years for the enjoyment
and benefit of its visitors; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Board of Directors
to have the locomotive and tender car located in the Little
rock area for the continued benefit and er.;oyr:ert of its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sell
the locomotive and tender car located at the Little Rock Zoo
to Ray Fureigh for the total sum of $15,011.00.
SECTION 2. Funds received from this sale shall be
allocated to Account No. 8327 for the use in the construction
of a new Kiddie Zoo Display.
