77331 RESOLUTION NO. 7,733 s 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ROUSSEAU /FENNELL 5 FOR THE DESIGN WORK FOR THE EAST STAGE /PAVILION 6 PROJECT. 7 8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 9 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 10 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to 11 enter into a contract with Rousseau /Fennell for the design 12 work for the East Stage /Pavilion project. 13 SECTION 2. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The budget for the stage /pavilion area is 0,000, with $340,000 budgeted for utilities, lighting, parking, walks, plazas, sprinklers, grading, and landscaping. The City formed a committee to select a firm for consulting work on the stage /pavilion. Requests for proposals were sent out in September 1986, and proposals were submitted by 14 teams. These proposals were analyzed and ranked by the committee. Rousseau /Fennell was selected as the top- ranked firm, and negotiations were held for architectural and specialized consulting services for the stage, pavilion, lighting, and sound.
