A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LANDS.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas General Assembly has given
municipalities the power to annex areas that are completely
surrounded by said municipalities under Act 314 of 1979; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing must be conducted within
sixty (60) days of the proposal of the ordinance calling for
annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
SECTION I. That the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock shall hold a Public Hearing on September 7,
1982, regarding the proposed annexation of the following
property. The attached exhibits are maps of such property
and are part of this Resolution.
a. Exhibit A (Map 1): "Jamison Road Island:"
A tract of land located in the SW 1/4 of the
NE 1/4, Section 32, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the SW 1/4 of
the NE 1/4, Section 32; thence North along the
West line of said SW 1/4, NE 1/4, 1319.0 feet more
or less to the Southwest corner of the NW 1/4,
NE 1/4; thence East along the South line NW 1/4,
SE 1/4 1,320 feet more or less to the Southwest
corner of the NE 1/4, NE 1/4; thence South along
the West line of the SE 1/4, NE 1/4, 750 feet more
or less to a point; thence N 89° 42' 43" W, 629.07
feet to a point; thence S 0° 33' 36" W 659.41 feet
to a point on the South line of said SW 1/4,
NE 1/4; thence West along said South line 690 feet
more or less, to the point of beginning. Tract
contains 29.96 + acres and is to include all
adjacent and abutting streets and rights -of- way.
b. Exhibit B (Map 2): "Aldersgate Island:"
A tract of land located in the NW 1/4, the SW 1/4,
and the SE 1/4 of Section 10, T -1 -N, R -13 -W, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 10;
thence East 2,450 feet more or less, along the
North line of Section 10, to a point 160 feet West
of the North /South centerline of said Section 10;
thence South along a line 160 feet West of and
parallel to the North /South centerline said

Section 10 to the Northwest corner, Lot 13, J 10 1
Block 5, Hicks Interurban Addition; thence East
150 feet more or less to a point on the West line
of Section "G" Twin Lakes Subdivision; thence
Southeasterly 2.030 feet more or less, along the
West line of said Section "G" Twin Lakes
Subdivision; thence continue Southwesterly 1,740
feet more or less, along the West line of Section
"G" and Section "H", Twin Lakes Subdivision;
thence South 210 feet more or less, along the West
line of Section "H" Twin Lakes Subdivision, to a
point on the South line of said Section 10, said
point being 1,500 feet more or less, width of the
Southeast corner of Section 10; then West 1,140
feet more or less, along said South line Section
10, said point being the Southeast corner of the
SE 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 10; thence N 00 00' 34" W
1,308.76 feet; thence N 03° 34' 57" W 657.92 feet;
thence N 04° 04' 03" W 568.54 feet to a point on
the West right -of -way line of Aldersgate Road;
thence North along said right -of -way line 2,577
feet more or less to a point, said point being the
Northeast corner of said SW 1/4, NW 1/4; thence
West 630'feet more or less to a point; thence N 00
39' E 229 feet; thence S O1° 30' W 640 feet more
or less, to a point on the West line of said
Section 10, East line Section 9; thence North
1,030 feet more or less, along said West line
Section 10, East line Section 9, to the point of
beginning. Tract contains 214.70 + acres and is
to include all adjacent and abutting streets and
rights -of -way. All of the above in Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
SECTION II. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage.
