RESOLUTION NO. 6,809
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MIKE MITCHELL, THOMAS
PURIFOY AND THE LITTLE ROCK FOUNDERS LIONS
CLUB FOR THEIR RECO1414ENDATIONS THAT THE
REGATTA BE HELD IN LITTLE ROCK AND FOR THEIR
EFFORTS CONTRIBUTING TO THE REGATTA'S SUCCESS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
IMEREAS, the Little Rock Founders Club is the
oldest Lions Club in the United States; and
WHEREAS, Mike Mitchell and Thomas Purifoy, Co-
Chairmen of the Little Rock Founders Lions Club recommended
that the Lions Club Regatta be held in Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. Mike Mitchell, Thomas Purifoy and the
Little Rock Founders Lions Club are hereby commended for
their recommendations that the regatta held on May 31,
1982 be held in Little Rock and for their efforts contribut-
ing to the success of the regatta.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption and approval.
