A PESOLUTIO14 EXPRESSIAG THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS' POLICY CONCERNING DRAINAGE;
ESTABLISHING DRAINAGE AS ONE OF THE CITY'S
MAJOR.PRTORITIES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. In light of chronic flooding, problems
experienced by residents of the City in recent years, the
Board hereby declares drainage to be one of its maior
priorities.
Section 2. Staff is directed to contact appropriate
congressional and administrative officials to expedite
approval of the Corps of Engineers Plan VII A.
Section 3. Staff is directed to develop budget
recommendations aimed at providing immediate relief in the
areas of ditch maintenance and cleaning.
Section 4. In the preparation of the 1983
budget, staff is directed to attempt to identify, with a
special emphasis on general revenue sharing, dollars.to be
used to provide local match for the Corps of Engineers
Plan VII A.
Section 5. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption and approval.
