A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN ADMISSION CHARGE
AT THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND HISTORY; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. An admission charge at the Museum of
Science and History is hereby authorized according to the
policy for admission adopted by the Museum of Science and
History as shown on the attached Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval.

1. An admission charge of $1.00 will be made for adults, and a charge of
50C will be made for children under 12 years of age. Babes in arms
and in strollers will be admitted without charge.
2. Members of the Museum Association will enjoy free admission by showing
a current membership card.
3. Children under 12 years will be admitted to The Museum only when
accompanied by a supervising adult. Such adults may be parents,
teachers, guardians, or when available, Museum Tour Guides or Docents.
4. People entering The Museum to make a purchase at the gift shop will
pay the admission charge. The admission ticket can be shown at the
gift shop for a reduction equal to the admission fee, as follows:
(1) a fee of 50C will be subtracted from any purchase of $2.00 or
more; (2) a fee of $1.00 will be subtracted from any purchase of $5.00
or more.
5. People entering The Museum to aptend a social function will be admit-
ted without charge. Thus, members of the Aesthetic Club, the Cantorias,
and other such groups can be recognized at the entrance by the recep-
tionist and be admitted. Likewise, Deople having business appointments
with staff members will be given an admission ticket without charge.
6. Teachers and other adults who have made arrangements to bring a class
of students to The Museum will be admitted without charge, except for
the .fee they may have paid through contractual arrangements, or other-
wise,' for the class or tour. Adult leaders must keep students in a
group at all times.
7. Teachers and other adults with a class of students with or without
reservation, but without a contract between the school or organiza-
'i,tion and The Museum will be admitted upon payment of a $10.00 fee,
f when space is available and when the action will not jeopardize an
activity of The Museum scheduled for the same time. In such cases,
class size may not exceed 30 students per adult leader. Adult
leaders must keep students in a group. Children may not run free.
8. A receptionist will be stationed in the foyer to collect admission
fees, to issue admission tickets, to acknowledge confirmation notices
mailed by The Museum for school classes, to keep count of attendance,
and generally to monitor the admission of visitors to The Museum.
9. A visitor may be required to show the admission ticket during the
' visit.
10. No admission charge will be made on Mondays, although student groups
with contract or other reservation provisions will pay the fee asso-
ciated with such contract or reservation.
11. Open House events of The Museum will feature free admission.
