RESOLUTION NO. 6,959
A RESOLUTION DECLARING MARCII 31, 1983
JACK WILSON DAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Jack H. Wilson has faithfully served the people
of Little Rock for 42 years and will, on Larch 31, 1983, retire
as manager - engineer of the Little Rock Municipal I•later Works;
and
WHEREAS, Jack H. Wilson has devoted most of his life to
the men, women and children of this community and is a
principal factor in planning and developing Little Rock's
greatest asset, abundant, wholesome water, and
WHEREAS, Jack H. Wilson leaves Little Rock a great
heritage of pure water and a tradition of excellence in the
operation and management of one of the nation's most successful
municipal utilities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That March 31, 1983 be, and the same is,
hereby declared to be Jack. Wilson Day and all citizens are
urged to toast Jack Wilson that day with a drink of Little Rock
water - the greatest water in the world.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
