RESOLUTION NO. 11,816
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CRANFORD CONSTRUCTION
5 COMPANY, INC. FOR PAVING ASPHALT PATHWAYS AT BENNY
6 CRAIG PARK, WAKEFIELD PARK, HINDMAN GOLF COURSE AND
7 WAR MEMORIAL GOLF COURSE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred
10 Thirty -five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement
11 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and
12 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to
13 be issued included Parks and Recreational Improvements, and
14 WHEREAS, the asphalt pathways at Hindman Golf Course, War Memorial Golf
15 Course, Benny Craig Park and Wakefield Park are in poor condition and are in need of
16 re- paving, and
17 WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid No. 04262 was issued, and Cranford Construction
18 Company, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid in the amount of
19 One Hundred Twenty -Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Forty -five Dollars ($129,945.00);
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
21 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
23 into a contract with Cranford Construction Company, Inc. for the paving of asphalt
24 pathways, in the amount of One Hundred Twenty Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred
25 Forty -five Dollars ($129,945.00).
26 Section 2. Funds for these services are to be allocated from the $70,635,000
27 Limited Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004), as follows:

5 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
6 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
7 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
8 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
9 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
10 resolution.
11 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
12 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
13 of such inconsistency.
