RESOLUTION NO. 7,210
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING FIRESERVICE CONTRACTS
FOR A ONE YEAR PERIOD FOR CERTAIN COMPANIES
OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Code of Ordinances provides
that the Fire Chief is authorized to respond to alarms from
public buildings supported and maintained by taxation and by
churches, when in his judgment, the fire fighting equipment is
not required for fire protection within the City; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Code of Ordinances provides
for service contracts with industrial and commercial property
outside the City limits; and
WHEREAS, applicants are required to pay a "ready to
serve" fee in an amount equal to ten mills times the assessed
valuation of lands and buildings being served; and
WHEREAS, in the event of a Fire Department response to
an alarm outside the City limits, businesses are required to pay
$100.00 per company responding to the alarm for each hour of
service provided.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The firefighting services' contracts for
the following businesses are hereby extended for a one year
period:
1. Siemen's - Allis, 14000 Dineen Drive
2. Independent Air Conditioning, 12221 Arch Street
3. 3 -M Granite Plant, 3 -M Road
4, Levi Strauss, 15000 Panatela Parkway
5. Industrial Development Company of Little Rock, 2200
East 145th Street
6. Riffe Petroleum, 89 Shamberger Lane
7. Arnolds Incorporated, 8103 Interstate #30
