PROGRAM AT TITLE II -A FUNDS FOR 1984.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Job Training Partnership
Act allocations for program year (PY 184) 1984 for II -A Funds are
hereby allocated as provided on the attached budget summary and
fact sheet.

SUBJECT: AGENDA REQUEST FOLLOW UP:
The following are recommendations from the Little Rock Private Industry
Council for allocation of Program Year (PY 184) JTPA Title IIA funds:
EOA OPPORTUNITY AGENCY OF PULASKI COUNTY $215,662
EON will train approximately 94 participants in classroom
training and on- the -job training with emphasis on class-
room activities in the occupations of word processing,
welding, auto mechanics and electro- mechanical technician.
UNITED TRUCK MASTER $ 10,000
United Truck Master will train up to five (5) artitcipants
in classroom and hands on training (100 hours )>n ruck
driving occupational skills which will result in placement
within the transportation industry, (Tractor Trailer Drivers).
LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT
Little Rock School District will train approximately $118,000
33 partici ants through classroom activity in the clerical
pr ofession to be supplemented with OJT. Participants will
receive comprehensive skills in the stenographic and
secretarial areas. At least 75% will enter unsubsidized
employment.
PATHFINDER, INC. $ 80,321
Pathfinder will train mentally and physically handicapped
persons in the following areas: printing, assembly of
electrical circuit boards, fabrication of wood products and
vehicle repair and maintenance. This will result in at least
72% placement rate.

The Little Rock OTT program will serve approximately
92 participants, primarily through private sector
contracting within the City of Little Rock in those
occupations identified as being in demand by business
and industry. Placement in unsubsidized employment
is planned at 850. Any remaining unallocated funds
from negotiations with the above potential contractors
should be transferred to the OJT activity for private
sector contract development.
