RESOLUTION NO. 7,197
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO APPLY FOR A LWCF GRANT THROUGH THE
ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND TOURISM
TO BE USED FOR IMPROVE34ENTS TO KIWANIS PARK
WHEREAS, in order to obtain the funds necessary to
improve Kiwanis Park to develop it's full recreational
potential, it is necessary to obtain a grant from the
United States Department of Interior, Land and Water
Conservation Fund program; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary plans for the improvements
to Kiwanis Park have been prepared and a budget of these
improvements has been established; and
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, is well aware and apprised of the
plans to improve Kiwanis Park. The City of Little Rock,
Arkansas will provide the share of the local development
cost of the project, and
WHEREAS, Kiwanis Park will be dedicated and perpetually
maintained as a recreational facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
apply for a grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund
through the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism to be
used for improvements to Kiwanis Park.
