A RESOLUTION HONORING DR. JAMES H. FRIBOURGH,
PROVOST AND VICE CHANCELLOR OF THE UNIVERSITY
OF ARKANSAS AT LITTLE ROCK FOR THIRTY -FIVE
YEARS OF SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Dr. James H. Fribourgh, provost and vice
chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, will
in June of 1984, resume fulltime teaching after fifteen years
as the University's chief academic officer; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Fribourgh has been a faculty member at
Little Rock Junior College, Little Rock University, and the
University of Arkansas at Little Rock for thirty -five years,
and thus personally represents the continuity of higher
education in the Central Arkansas area; and
WHEREAS, during his long tenure as vice chancellor
Dr. Fribourgh has established the highest standards for
excellence in faculty qualifications and academic programs
at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock joins the
administration, faculty, staff and students at UALR, and
Dr. Fribourgh's many friends in the city, in honoring him
for his long service at UALR and in wishing him the best of
luck as he continues his valuable service in the classroom.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
