A RESOLUTION COMMENDING CERTAIN SCOUTS OF
TROOPS 232 AND 231 AND OTHER CITIZENS OF
LITTLE ROCK FOR HEROIC EFFORTS AND ACTS OF
HUMAN COMPASSION DURING THE FIRE AT THE
BEAUMONT NURSING HOME.
WHEREAS, on January 12, 1984 a fire broke out at the
Beaumont Nursing Home in Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, the patients in the nursing home were in
jeopardy; and
WHEREAS, many citizens of the City of Little Rock
heroically entered the smoke - filled nursing home and
compassionately provided care for them during the fire.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following individuals are hereby commended
for their heroic efforts when they entered the burning area of
the Beaumont Nursing Home and carried patients to safety:

commended for their heroic rescue of patients from the Beaumont
Nursing Home:
