A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE AIRPORT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, a five - member Airport Commission manages,
operates, and maintains the municipal airport; and

WHEREAS, these individuals serve without any compensation
or monetary renumeration; and
WHEREAS, because of the leadership of the Commission, the
Airport is self- sustaining and requires no general tax revenues
from the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, due to the dedication, hard work and the
contributions of the Commissioners the Little Rock Regional
Airport has continued to expand as a result of the efficient
operation of the Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners have purchased new property
and plan the addition of a new runway, and have met each new
challenge; and
WHEREAS, the future expansion and development of the
Little Rock Regional Airport depends on the contributions of the
dedicated Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Little Rock and
passengers coming through the Little Rock Regional Airport will
be assured that the quality of service will keep pace with the
future demands because of the unselfish contributions of the
Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has been extremely fortunate in
that each Chairman has provided the leadership skills necessary
to ensure the continued growth of the Little Rock Regional
Airport.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby expresses their
appreciation and commends the Airport Commissioners, Dave
Grundfest, Vernon Giss, Lyda Holt Samuel, Robert M. Wilson and
Seth Ward, Chairman, for their unselfish contribution on behalf
of the City of Little Rock and the citizens of the City for the
development and growth of the Little Rock Regional Airport.
SECTION 2. The Board of Directors hereby encourages the
Commissioners in the efforts that they have made for the benefit
of the City of Little Rock and each and every individual who
passes through the Airport.
