A RESOLUTION HONORING MS. MYRA JONES
FOR HER DEDICATED AND UNSELFISH SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AS
A MEMBER OF THE LITTLE ROCK CITY BOARD OF
DIRECTORS, JANUARY 1977 THROUGH DECEMBER
1984, AND HER SERVICE AS VICE - MAYOR,
DECEMBER 1981 THROUGH DECEMBER 1984;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Ms. Myra Jones has ably represented the
citizens of Little Rock as a member of the Little Rock City
Board of Directors between January 1977 and December 1984;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Myra Jones served the Board as Vice -Mayor
between December 1981 and December 1984; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Myra Jones' service to the City has been
marked by her commitment to planning for the City's growth,
her concern for the quality of life for the City's
residents, her efforts to secure a source of revenue that
grows with the City economy, and her exemplary service to
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Ms. Myra Jones is hereby commended for her
unselfish and dedicated service to the City of Little Rock,
as a member of the Board of Directors and as Vice - Mayor.
SECTION 2. The Little Rock Board of Directors looks
forward to Ms. Jones' continuing service to the citizens of
Little Rock and Arkansas as a member of the House of
Representatives.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval.
