RESOLUTION NO. 7,407 269
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS
REQUESTING THAT THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY AND
TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT PROCEED WITH F.A.U.
FUNDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WEST MARKHAM STREET
FROM SHACKLEFORD TO BOWMAN ROADS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors for the City of Little
Rock recognizes the importance of the West Markham widening
project to the citizens of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the widening of West Markham Street from
Shackleford Road to Bowman Road is essential in providing for the
health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has been diligently
pursuing the completion of the West Markham widening project for
several years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock requests that the Arkansas Highway and Transportation
Department expedite the West Markham widening project so that
construction will begin at the earliest possible occasion.
