A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE
CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF A PARCEL OF PROPERTY LOCATED
AT TWELFTH STREET AND FAIR PARK FOR THE
CHANNELIZATION PROJECT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute contracts necessary for the purchase of a
parcel of property located at Twelfth Street and Fair Park needed
for the channelization project for a total price not to exceed
the budget, payable from the funds specified in the attached fact
sheet.

SUBJECT: Right -of -Way Acquisition - Fair Park Blvd.
at 12th Street Intersection Channelization
Project
BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Adoption of a resolution
authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract to
purchase the northernmost portion of the center island in
the south leg of the intersection at 12th Street and
Fair Park Blvd. for $20,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This intersection is a high
accident location. T is acquisition will allow the
intersection to be reconstructed with improved geometrics
and will provide east and westbound left turn lanes for a
smoother and safer traffic flow.
Funds have been appropriated
