7350M r r r� ■r �■r r r RESOLUTION NO, 7;350 A RESOLUTION COMMENDING LITTLE ROCK POLICE OFFICER RONALD D. GHORMLEY FOR HIS VALIANT CONDUCT ON MARCH 29; 1985. WHEREAS, Little Rock Police Officer Ronald D. Ghormley, while working in an off duty capacity, attempted to arrest a suspect on March 29, 1985; and 133 WHEREAS, while attempting to arrest said suspect another individual threatened to shoot Officer Ghormley and other customers in the area if Ghormley did not follow orders; and WHEREAS, Officer Ghormley, realizing that the lives of innocent people were at stake, agreed to cooperate with the armed individuals; and WHEREAS, because of this valiant effort Officer Ghormley was kidnapped, and threatened with his life; and WHEREAS, Officer Ghormley was later able to escape without bodily harm to himself or to any innocent bystanders. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: The Board of Directors hereby commends Officer Ronald D. Ghormley for his valiant conduct in preventing the threat of harm or loss of life to the citizens of Little Rock on March 29, 1985.
